I've also tried unplugging and plugging the headphone jack back into the laptop and that has not worked either. The headset has a mute/unmute slider which I've used both ways and still no audio is coming from it. When going to its properties and listening to the device, the input is clearly coming from the laptop's built-in microphone, as tapping on keys and clicking is loud, meanwhile tapping on the headset's mic produces no sound at all. When going into sound settings -> recording tab, my correct headset has been set to default, but no audio can be detected when trying to talk through it. I've tried plugging in another headphone jack and the exact same issue occurs. Before that, my headset was working fine, and audio input was coming from the headset's mic.
This only started happening today and yesterday. When plugged in, I can hear all audio through my headset, but my microphone input is coming from the laptop instead. Hello everyone! I just recently purchased an Acer Nitro 5 515-15.6' and have recently encountered an audio issue when plugging in my headset.
