First to 50 kills is a bit too simplistic for Valve’s tastes, though, so you’ll also need to contest randomly dropped coins by a drunken Kobold Foreman lounging on a golden throne in the centre of the arena. There’s no farming at all, in fact, as you and a partner, or two, or a whole team are pitted against other teams of doubles, triples and quintuplets in an all-out deathmatch. The game type itself is a nice breath of fresh air for anyone looking to play some classic Dota but without the possibility of being locked into another hour-long slog with people who don’t farm well. But it’s not just because of the patented Valve polish that the first custom game ever received, proving what the level editor can do.
Overthrow is your first port of call when checking out Dota’s custom games arcade.
